Checked-In: Gallery Hotel Art

March 2, 2012

During our stay in Florence we bopped around a little bit and before heading further south we took up residence along the river at the foot of Ponte Vecchio in the Gallery Hotel Art.  In their ideal location, Gallery Hotel dishes out a full list of offerings.  On top of booking rooms, there’s a great bar and restaurant paired with an actual gallery space, neither disappoint.  Throughout the hotel, there’s a continual rotation of new and old art from artists near and far.  During our visit, works from photographer Mona Kuhn were on display.  Holding true to their attention to detail throughout the immaculate space, the rooms are equally impressive.  With a simple and clean design, each room is big, bright, and maybe most important, offers soaps from Ferragamo (which are insanely good smelling).  With all your bases covered, almost every room also offers a good view of Florence.  If that’s not enough, well there’s a rooftop terrace, too.

If you’re headed to Florence and need a hotel rec, here it is.  Get all the intel on Gallery Hotel Art over at Mr. & Mrs. Smith.
