Hotel Savoy: Florence

February 19, 2012

Arriving in Florence was a breath of fresh air for two reasons.  One, the abnormal sub-arctic weather took a hike, and two, Hotel Savoy.  This hotel was nothing short of amazing.  The location (Piazza della Repubblica), staff, room and breakfast were all incredible.  What’s probably the best part is you get everything you’d find in any other typical five-star establishment, but without all the fuss and pretentiousness.   This same logic applies to the room, where every detail exceeded all expectations.  There’s nothing worse than checking into a nice hotel only to be turned off by the staff and overall accommodation.  Fortunately, none of these vibes existed at Savoy and at one point I was quoted with saying that I could live there.  I wasn’t lying.

Stop by Mr. & Mrs. Smith to check out some more details, images and book your stay.  Tip: room 211 has a balcony overlooking the piazza, just sayin.

I’ll be visiting Firenze soon, and this looks like a great prelude. Good shots!

This design is steller! You obviously know how to keep a reader amused.

Between your wit and your videos, I was almost moved to start
my own blog (well, almost…HaHa!) Fantastic job. I really loved what you had to say, and more
than that, how you presented it. Too cool!
