New York magazine has issued a list of the top five shaves in New York.  It’s not surprising to see those that made the cut , as each offers a stellar shave and quality service –  personally I’m a sucker for F.S.C. barbers, but that’s probably only because I can get a burger and a blazer after my shave.

For those of you still scraping your face with one of those super optimal hi performance quadruple vibrating lubed up thingy ma-jigs,  throw that thing in the can and go get a real gentleman’s shave, you won’t be disappointed and you’ll definitely be back for more.  On the other hand, for those who know what I’m talking about, I’ll see you in line.  Check out the full scoop here.

Truefitt and Hill is where its at in the Chi. Also, if you cant go to a barber at least get a good razor, I just got a Merkur single blade razor, and it slays.

I agree with Tony L. There are many barbers out there but if you do not have the time to visit their shops, you must get a great razor like the Merkur razors. It permits a close shave while still offering maximum protection from razor burn.

The New York Shaving Co is also a great place to get a shave with a wide variety of shavers, brushes and creams

Agreed on the Merkurs, those things are pretty amazing. Leo, thanks for the tip on NY Shaving Co., I haven’t been there and am definitely going to check it – good looks.
