In my search for kings of cool near and far, dead or alive, I’ve been spending a lot of time digging into films for inspiration.  Recently re-entering the radar is Jean Luc-Godard.   A  Frenchman who didn’t care about what anyone said of his films, his attitude or ideas, and in keeping with the French tradition of rebellion and existentialism, made films that completely countered that of the Hollywood norm.  Godard has also been credited with being an original member the French New Wave.  Bande a part (Band of Outsiders) is one of his more memorable films, while Breathless is at the top of my list.

“All you need to make a movie is a girl and a gun.” -Godard
