Church’s Footwear

May 28, 2009

Many will attest, Church’s shoes are definitely some of the best around. Still hand made in their Northampton location, since 1873, Church’s are a timeless staple – despite being acquired by Prada ten years ago.  I’ve been meaning to write about and get my hands on a pair of these for some time, and I’m planning on these being an investment as opposed to a purchase.

One of the best qualities about these shoes, in addition to the shoe itself, is the repair and service available.  It’s not uncommon for a pair of these to last 20 years, with the occasional new sole and maintained uppers.   Check out their site here for your nearest location.

In terms of where you are located, locations carrying a wide selection can be hit or miss. However, if you’re willing to shell out the cash Herring Shoes out of England has what I’ve found the largest selection, but as I mentioned, you’ll have to pay for what you get…considering the product, it’s probably worth it. Here the Herring Shoes site

Good luck, and thanks for checking out The Standard Edition
