Opening Ceremony for Uniqlo

March 24, 2009

I recently popped into Uniqlo to check out the new Opening Ceremony line, and was unfortunately disappointed with what I saw.  Granted, I understand that for the price points offered, certain sacrifices have to be made, however, many of the fabrics seem well under par, and several cuts appeared to be way off.  Naturally, some of these pieces are a huge hit with a selective audience, but personally, I don’t see this stuff flying off the shelves.  I’m hoping the the upcoming Jil Sander colobration will prove to be more eventful.

I have to agree as well… I stopped in and was very disappointed. The collection was too trendy which is what I suppose I had to suspect before seeing the collection in the store. However perhaps something with more creativity and originality, more timeless would have been better… Guess I just need not to get my hopes up anymore!
