Connecting New York Part II

Like the Brooklyn and Williamsburg bridge before it, the Manhattan bride is just as striking to the eye.  Among all the bridges the span the New York waterways, the Manhattan Bridge is definitely my favorite.  Designed by Ralph Modjeski, it opened to traffic on December 31, 1909 and is still used to shuttle cars, bikes, people and subway cars between its two decks.

I’ve always been fascinated by bridges and construction like this. You should do something on the Verrazano-Narrows.
