A Russian Cover Up
November 12, 2012
Shipbuilder, physics professor, metal worker, navigator, explorer, sailor, ship captain, headmaster and eventual writer, it’s safe to say Boris Zhitkov knew a thing or two about a thing or two. He also knew how to select a good illustrator in Vladimir Golitsyn. And although I don’t know a lick of Russian, I sure do appreciate these covers for writings based on Zhitkov’s time at sea, or so I’m told.
