Trip Report: Summer’s End on Cape Cod
For many, Labor Day marks the official end of summer and the last chance to get out of town. For me it means I need to find a beach, a beer and a place to sit next to a fire. Fortunately, I have some good friends that are on the same page. The location, Cape Cod. The vibe, all good things.
Prior to my tenure as a Boston resident, Cape Cod was as foreign as the moon. It didn’t take long after my first visit to realize what all the hype was about. The Cape has everything that makes a place great, and it’s spread out enough that you don’t have to worry about having to share it with everyone else. There’s a good dose of great food, plenty of nautical influence and enough geographic variety to keep you busy for weeks. Mix all this with a solid contingent, some beers, a nightly camp fire and you’re all set.

Fantastic views! Looks like the new Range Rover has done you well–Hope its been a good day!!
Nowhere quite like the Cape. Sadly this was the first year in 35 that I didn’t make at least one weekend up there.
Lovely! i just had a fantasic pre-labor day week up there myself in Eastham. The boat resting on the sand pics – Skaket beach?
