Cat’s Paw
March 15, 2010
One of, if not, the front-runner in rubber sole replacement, U.S.A. born and bred Cat’s Paw has been around since the early 1900s. Originally hailing from Baltimore, as Cat’s Paw Rubber Company Inc., they were later acquired by Bilrite out of Waltham Mass., however production of the Cat’s Paw brand name has since declined significantly. Today, the brand that guaranteed a “non-slip grip” is nearly impossible to find, with only a handful of shops across the country that carry Cat’s Paw. If you’re in New York, a good stop for all shoe repair, and Cat’s Paw soles if you’re interested is Cesar’s on 7th Ave.
